The Launch Register Outreach Playbook

On this page

The Launch Register Outreach Playbook is an authenticated, practical resource for small UK accountancy practices. It helps a practice turn a matching company into a controlled review, first-contact and recording process. It does not send correspondence, automate outreach, replace professional judgement or guarantee a result.

Who it is for

The Playbook is written for a small UK accountancy practice that wants a repeatable, restrained way to assess and approach selected newly incorporated limited companies. It is especially useful when several people may review matches or when decisions need to be handed into an existing CRM or practice-management process.

Launch Register supplies public-register matching and workflow context. The practice supplies the research, lawful basis, message, approval and human decision to contact—or not contact—a company.

Nine sections, each tied to a decision

The map below is an original public summary of the released resource. It shows the question each section helps the practice answer and the output the user remains responsible for.

  1. 01 · Start here

    Your first campaign

    Decision

How will we turn one small batch into a controlled first campaign?

    User-controlled output

A worked sequence from target and letter to recording the result.

  2. 02 · Define

    Define your target clients

    Decision

Which locations, sectors and company types genuinely fit the practice?

    User-controlled output

A narrower target that can be represented by search profiles.

  3. 03 · Qualify

    Review and choose companies

    Decision

Which matches merit attention, later review or exclusion?

    User-controlled output

A consistent Lead, Review later or Not suitable decision.

  4. 04 · Approach

    Develop your offer

    Decision

What relevant, supportable reason do we have for writing?

    User-controlled output

A focused proposition rather than a generic service list.

  5. 05 · Approach

    Write your letter

    Decision

How should the first letter be structured and adapted?

    User-controlled output

A one-page draft using one of seven editable starting points.

  6. 06 · Approach

    Stay compliant

    Decision

What must we check for this channel, recipient and use of data?

    User-controlled output

A practice-owned compliance check, not a certification from Launch Register.

  7. 07 · Approach

    Send, record and follow up

    Decision

Who is responsible, what was sent and what happens next?

    User-controlled output

A controlled batch with contact and follow-up recorded.

  8. 08 · Define

    Measure and refine

    Decision

What did the practice learn, and what single change is justified?

    User-controlled output

A documented adjustment based on recorded outcomes.

  9. 09 · Help

    Troubleshooting

    Decision

Where is the process breaking down or becoming unmanageable?

    User-controlled output

A bounded diagnostic path for common workflow problems.

What the letter resources are

The authenticated writing section contains seven adaptable starting points for common accountancy practice situations. They are prompts for the practice to edit after doing its own research. They are not personalised automatically and are not described as tested, proven, high-converting or compliant for every use.

The product does not provide mail merge, postal fulfilment, an email sender or automated follow-up. It helps the practice record responsibility, contact and next steps. Selected records can then be handed to the CRM or practice-management system the practice already uses; Launch Register is not a replacement for that system.

Compliance remains specific to the practice and campaign

The ICO's current business-to-business guidance distinguishes post from electronic messages and telephone calls. PECR does not cover marketing by post, but UK data-protection law can still apply when personal data is used. A practice needs an appropriate lawful basis, transparent information and a process that respects objections. If personal data is used for direct marketing, the right to object is absolute.

The ICO says its business-to-business guidance is under review following the Data (Use and Access) Act. Check the current primary guidance when planning each campaign:

Primary-source check: 7 September 2026. Guidance can change; the links above take precedence over this summary.

Prefer a public overview first?

You do not need an account to understand the product boundary. Read how Launch Register works for the profile-to-review workflow, or Product Data and Methodology for source, field and matching limitations. For compliance questions, use the current ICO primary guidance linked above. The authenticated Playbook connects those considerations to review and recording.
