How this group is defined
This is a Launch Register editorial grouping, not an official SIC section (Curated from SIC 2007 divisions 49, 52 and 53). Freight haulage, courier and postal delivery, removals, warehousing and cargo handling and support across road, rail, water and air. Passenger transport (rail, metro, taxi, bus and coach) and pipeline transport are excluded. Some general transport-support codes (52219, 52220, 52230) are not split by freight versus passenger at source, so a few passenger- or infrastructure-related registrations may appear alongside genuine freight support.
The mapping is published as version sic2007-lr-v1, with all 17 five-digit codes listed below, so this analysis can be reproduced rather than taken on trust.
