The ten groups are a Launch Register editorial mapping over SIC 2007, published under version sic2007-lr-v1. They are not official SIC sections. A company is counted on a group's page if any of its filed codes is in that group, so a company can appear in more than one group and the group totals are not additive — they are never presented as a partition. The full list of codes in each group, and the treatment of dormant, non-trading and unfiled codes, is in the methodology.

A note on SIC 2026
Companies House filings currently use SIC 2007, so this library does too. If Companies House migrates to a newer classification, the mapping will be rebuilt using the official correspondence table and published as a new mapping version rather than applied silently to past figures.
